New York University student creates True Love Tinder Robot to help people find true love

A New York University (NYU) graduate has created a device using biometric sensors that helps people find partners called The True Love Tinder Robot. Nicole He, a student on NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) and the creator of the project, explains on her website that the project explores the idea that the computer knows us better than we know ourselves, therefore it knows who we should date too.

She also states that the True Love Tinder Robot makes the user confront what it feels like to let computers make what would normally be intimate decisions for us. Nicole also said that it was a challenging experience to create the robot as she had never done anything like it before and everything in the device was based on what she had been taught at NYU, from the coding to the fabrication.
The True Love Tinder Robot will be exhibited at the ITP Winter Show on 20-21 December in New York.
