Reddit app for Android and iOS coming soon with various themes and simpler navigation

Social news networking service Reddit has announced that its mobile app for Android and iOS, which it promised sometime back is going to soon hit the respective Play Stores. Reddit posted the announcement on Facebook hinting at features like in-line images, themes, and simpler navigation for the smartphone.

As of now, the best option to access Reddit on your mobile or tablet is through third-party apps like Alien Blue, which was recently acquired by Reddit. The test version of the official Android app under development was rolled out by the company in January to fix all known issues ahead of the app's public release.
Screenshots from the test version had shown how the upcoming Android app had a pleasing interface but its features were not exciting enough. In fact some of the key features present on the web version were missing including the ability to view images dynamically. Zoom in and zoom out functions or cropping the image for thumbnail view was also not supported back then.
This was the status in January and we think by now the company must have received critical feedback from developers to include these crucial features on the app. What most users will be looking forward to in the mobile version of the app will be the simplicity or ease to find sub-reddits.
Reddit is one of the most widely used and talked about social networks as well as a credible news source platform. We only hope the folks at Reddit give us something to be excited about as the app market is highly competitive and they have to stand out from the rest to get users hooked on to their mobile version of the platform.
